After conducting a survey of more than 1,100 U.S. travelers, TripAdvisor released the results of the top 10 Hotel Spas in the United States.
According to the survey, 30 percent of travelers have decided to take a relaxing trip in 2013 with hopes of "rejuvenating their body, mind or spirit." Forty-nine percent of the travels plan to stay in a hotel, 17 percent plan to take up vacation rentals and 16 percent will be staying with family or friends during their trip.
"Our survey shows that for nearly a third of travelers, the beginning of a new year is a chance to recharge their batteries with a rejuvenation trip," said Brooke Ferencsik, director of communications at TripAdvisor. "With a hotel being the most popular destination for these trips, we're delighted to announce the most highly rated hotel spas in the U.S., according to TripAdvisor traveler reviews and opinions."
