Apple (AAPL) Improves AppleCare+, Covers Early Signs of Battery Weakness

Apple Inc (Nasdaq: AAPL) has provided a boost to its AppleCare+, which could be very rewarding for customers.

Underperforming batteries of the iPhone, iPad, iPod, Apple Watch, MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro that are performing at 80 percent could be replaced with a new one, according to Engadget.

This is an improvement from a previous AppleCare+ battery policy that it would only replace those that are at 50 percent working capacity.

Apple has recently made these changes as part of its AppleCare+ extended warranty program and would cover any new purchase and to any device still under warranty and the customer's submission of a valid claim, the publication added.

This a big plus for Apple customers whose policy only covered manufacturing defects but now even performance degradation of a device battery is also covered by the AppleCare+, according to CNET.

The publication reminded customers that the policy covers Apple devices purchased after April 10 of this year.
