Accents were put to the test when actress Emilia Clarke, known as Khaleesi in the “Game of Thrones” TV show and Sarah Connor in “Terminator Genisys,” visited “Jimmy Kimmel: Live” on Monday and spoke like a valley girl from America, according to The Daily Caller. During a night time shoot for the "Terminator" flick, Clarke and fellow actor, Jai Courtney, made a 3 a.m. Walmart run to buy an air conditioner. Concerned she'd be recognized while out and about, Clarke decided to put on her best "Clueless" impression.
“I’d love to hear your American accent because I’m always interested... because I don’t think we even have that,” Kimmel said during his show. “I guess in certain regions we have accents."
"Well, it was late, so my American accent you heard on “Terminator” kinda changed a little bit into, “Cali from the Valley,” Clarke impressively said to laughter from the “Kimmel” audience. “She’s like this whole situation. It was amazing.” Clarke said with a flick of her hair – an action that is based off of her favorite TV show and movie, “Clueless.”
“Wow, that’s actually very good,” Kimmel remarked.
“We had, like, a really good time,” Clarke said, still playing the valley girl character. “I got so close to getting Jai to buy me like a $700 air conditioning unit. I, like, got the guy to help me. He was freaking out. It was awesome."
