Bobbi Kristina Brown, who has been laying in a coma since being found unresponsive in a bathtub at her home in Atlanta, Ga., is now being sued by a motorist that was injured in a car accident Brown caused just days before she was found.
The victim, motorist Rusell J. Eckerman, recently filed a lawsuit against Brown. In the papers obtained by People, Eckerman, 41, stated that the accident happened around Jan. 27 and claimed that Brown, 22, was "traveling at an imprudent speed for conditions and was following too closely and improperly attempted to change lanes in order to avoid the vehicle stopping in front of her."
The suit was filed on Friday in Fulton County, GA. Supreme Court, stating that after Brown tried to switch lanes to avoid hitting the car in front of her, she lost control of her 2005 Jeep Liberty, collided with oncoming traffic and hit Eckerman's Ford Taurus head-on, the New York Daily News reported.
Eckerman is seeking more than $730,000 in medical bills and damages, as he sustained injuries that include spinal, facial and skull fractures. He was put in a medically induced coma following the accident, according to CBS News. Eckerman is also suing the Ford Motor Company because his air bag failed to deploy and his seatbelt didn't protect him at the time of the accident.
