India’s Top Chef’s First International Restaurant To Be In Abu Dhabi

One among the top ten chefs in India, chef Abhijit Saha, plans to expand his chain of restaurants to reach international grounds and has revealed his plan to set up his first international signature restaurant in Abu Dhabi, according to Breaking Travel News.

Saha is the owner of two of the finest restaurants in Bangalore, India. Both popular restaurants are located in the heart of the city, "Caperberry" on Dickenson Road, and "Fava" in UB City, a well-known luxury mall in Bangalore.

"Here in India the profile of Abu Dhabi is currently very high with constant news about the investment being made into establishing the UAE capital as a premium luxury destination," said Saha, according to Breaking Travel News. "With the opening of so many beautiful hotels and visitor attractions, it is my belief that the UAE capital could be the ideal place for my first signature restaurant outside of India and I'll be looking into opportunities as a priority while I'm there."

Saha will be seen as a guest chef, along with many other of the world's leading master-chefs, at the Ushna Restaurant in Abu Dhabi's Souk Qaryat Al Beri during the Gourmet Abu Dhabiculinary festival at the UAE capital from Feb. 11 - Feb. 14.

Saha is excited about his tour to Abu Dhabi for the Gourmet Abu Dhabiculinary festival and intends to explore the city's cuisines to enhance his recipes in India with some local spices and different elements. "

I'm really looking forward to having the chance to rub shoulders with some of the world's greatest chefs during Gourmet Abu Dhabi and take an in-depth look into the emirate's flourishing hospitality industry that we hear so much about," Saha said. "Whether it's local street cuisine or fine dining, I really want the chance to soak up all the flavours for inspiration. Indian cuisine has been a strong influence on Emirati cuisine for many decades and I'd like to see if there are local elements and twists to recipes that I can perhaps take back to India with me to feature on my menus."
