The Arizona Diamondbacks meet the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday for Game 4 of their series. The game starts at 12:35 p.m. ET. Watch the FREE live stream HERE.
The series has been back and forth. Cincinnati took the first game, 5-3; Arizona nabbed the second game, 5-2; Cincinnati bounced back and took the third game, 10-7.
Cincinnati (72-55) has dealt with injuries during the series - Tony Cingrani left with a strained lower back midway through Game 2, and reliever Jonathan Broxton left Game 3 after appearing to reinjure his right elbow, according to the Associated Press.
The injury is particularly unfortunate for Broxton, who missed nearly two months with the elbow injury.
"It was disheartening to go get Broxton," Reds manager Dusty Baker told the Associated Press. "I went out with (pitching coach) Bryan Price. BP said, 'He's done.'"
One concern for the Reds is how they almost gave up an 8-0 lead on Wednesday.
"It was the epitome of a full moon," Baker said. "We were riding easy 8-0, then all the sudden it was 8-4. A lot of stuff happened. Those guys (Diamondbacks) didn't give up."
Mat Latos (12-4, 3.02 ERA) is slated to take the mound on Thursday for Cincinnati. Latos is 4-1 with a 1.54 ERA in his last six starts, although did give up two runs in Saturday's loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.
"That's just the way the game goes," Latos told the Associated Press. "Two runs will beat you on any given day."
Arizona (65-60) will start pitcher Trevor Cahill (4-10, 4.78) on Thursday. Cahill, fresh off a 1 1/2 month stay on the disabled list with a hip injury, is looking to knock the rust off and play better than he did on Saturday. He allowed four runs, including two homers, in five innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Despite the subpar performance, Arizona won, 15-5.
