It looks like Scott Lang will get a little help from the Avengers after all when he puts on the Ant-Man suit in the new Marvel movie. A new TV spot for "Ant-Man" confirms Anthony Mackie will make an appearance as his superhero character, Sam Wilson a.k.a. Falcon.
The newly-minted Avenger touches down in a blink-and-you-missed-it cameo in the half-English, half-Spanish promo. Mackie joins forces with Paul Rudd (Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man), Michael Douglas (Dr. Hank Pym), Evangeline Lilly (Hope Van Dyne) and Corey Stoll (Darren Cross a.k.a. Yellowjacket).
Mackie made his first appearance as Falcon in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." He also starred in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" earlier this summer.
Falcon isn't the only big name superhero from the Marvel Cinematic Universe set to make an appearance. "Ant-Man" will feature two post-credits scenes and the scene to air in the end credits slot will feature footage from next year's "Captain America: Civil War," Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told io9.
"I was watching 'Civil War' dailies and said, 'Whoa, that could be the tag,'" Feige said.
Rudd's character jokes in a previous "Ant-Man" trailer that they should call the Avengers for help rather than sending him to complete a mission.
"I think our first move should be calling the Avengers," Lang says to his mentor Pym's. "I know. It sounded ridiculous even as I said it."
"Ant-Man" will hit theaters on July 16.
