Damon Albarn At Roskilde: Security Kicks Rocker Off Stage (VIDEO)

Damon Albarn, better known as the frontman of '90s alt-rock band Blur, gave fans their money's worth at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark over the weekend. Albarn's set stretched to about five hours until security guards kicked the rocker off stage, the New York Times reports.

Albarn was on stage performing a set with his side project Africa Express, a music collective that pairs critically acclaimed musicians like Laura Mvula and Yeah Yeah Yeahs drummer Nick Zinner with lesser known local musicians from Africa, according to Billboard. The group was scheduled to close out the European summer music festival on Saturday night, starting their set at 11 p.m. and running five hours straight until 4 a.m. on Sunday.

In a video recorded by a festival attendee, Albarn is seen standing at a piano, leading the crowd in a clap-along rendition of the Clash's 1982 hit "Should I Stay Or Should I Go?" Albarn was warned that the set was breaking the festival's 4 a.m. curfew, the New York Daily News reports, but he wasn't ready to leave yet.

"You want more, yeah?" he asked the crowd, and they responded with cheers and chants. "If you want more, we're going to give you more!"

The singer grabbed a mircophone and walked closer to the crowd, but was interrupted by a big security guard who came over, picked him up and carried him over his shoulder off to the side of the stage, all to a chorus of boos from the fans.
