The USTA announced on Thursday the draw for the 2013 US Open. The quarterfinals have the potential for big matchups, including the possibility of Rafael Nadal vs. Roger Federer, Andy Murray vs. Tomas Berdych, and Serena Williams vs. Angelique Kerber. Below is the full draw for the Men's and Women's US Open.
Overall, the draw appears even. In the top half of the draw, Djokovic opens the tournament against Ricardas Berankis, and Andy Murray opens against Michael Llodra. Djokovic could potentially meet Juan Martin del Potro in the quarterfinals, and Murray could get a chance for revenge against Berdych, who knocked him out in two sets at last week's Cincinnati Masters.
Djokovic and Murray could meet in the semifinals.
For the bottom half of the draw, Nadal begins the campaign for his second US Open title against Ryan Harrison; Federer opens against Grega Zemlja. Nadal could possibly face John Isner in the fourth round, a rematch of this year's Cincinnati Masters final.
Federer and Nadal could meet for the first time in a Grand Slam quarterfinals, according to the USTA.
David Ferrer, on paper, has the easiest path to the semifinals, where he could meet Nadal or Federer.
