NCAA Football: Florida State QB De’Andre Johnson Punches Woman at Florida Bar

A Florida State University football player has been dismissed from the program following the release of shocking video footage showing the freshman striking a woman.

Quarterback De'Andre Johnson, 19, has been charged with battery for the altercation that took place on Jun 24.

Security footage shows that the woman swung at Johnson, who then responded by punching her in the face.

The victim suffered bruising near her eye, a swollen left cheek and lip, and a small cut on the bridge of her nose, according to the Tallahassee Police Department incident report.

Johnson's lawyer Jose Baez claims his client was provoked by the woman who instigated the confrontation. Baez said that the woman yelled "racial epithets" at the quarterback and hit him twice after he unintentionally made contact with her at the bar.
