Singer Meghan Trainor announced on Monday that she has been forced to postpone her Chicago performance due to vocal cord hemorrhage. The Chicago show was scheduled to take place at the Aragon Ballroom on July 12, but the date has been moved to Sept. 9, according to NBC Chicago.
This announcement comes just days after Trainor was forced to cancel her two opening tour dates, according to Yahoo!. Along with the cancellation of her Chicago show, the singer canceled another two dates in Detroit and at the Common Ground Music Festival, bringing the total to five shows. Trainor was forced to cancel the opening two dates in Atlantic City and Connecticut after visiting her doctor and learning she had a hemorrhage in her vocal cords.
The 21-year-old shared the sad news on her Instagram account:
"I have bad news, my doctor says I have to postpone two more dates, Detroit & Chicago and sadly I have to cancel my appearance at the Common Ground Music Festival. But there is good news!! I'm feeling much better, have already rescheduled most dates and will come back around to see you all soon! Thank you Dr. Kessler for seeing me immediately and being so helpful and thank you guys for all the edits/get well posts you made. You made me feel a lot better about this crappy situation. I love you all so much!!"
Here's hoping Trainor can make a quick recovery and get back out on the road.
