One federal public health official who ended up dealing with last summer's barrage of illegal alien children at the southern U.S. border blamed President Obama for the crisis, calling him "the worst pres we ever had," an "amateur" and "Marxist," according to internal emails obtained by conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch.
Judicial Watch obtained emails that show a June 9, 2014 exchange between George Roark, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention logistics management specialist, and the agency's public health adviser, William Adams.
Roark started the conversation by saying, "Unreal, no country in the world would allow this."
Adams responded: "Well, in ten years or less, they'll all be voting ... Commander's intent ..."
Roark fired back, saying "It is very clear that is the case. This fellow is the worst pres we have ever had. He truly is 'the amateur' but a Marxist, too."
Roark declined to speak to Fox News on Monday when contacted at the agency's Atlanta headquarters.
The CDC told Fox News that the agency is looking into the emails and would take appropriate actions after its review.
The exchange was included in 3,000 pages of emails obtained by Judicial Watch through a Freedom of Information Act request. The group is investigating the CDC's activation of its Emergency Operations Center to handle the tens of thousands of Central American immigrants attempting to cross into the U.S. at the Mexico border.
After concerns were raised that the immigrants could be bringing contagious diseases into the U.S., the CDC opened its emergency center to monitor and coordinate response activities to eminent public health threats.
"It's a major and costly operation that can stick American taxpayers with a huge tab," Judicial Watch said. "That's why JW launched a probe when the Obama administration took in the illegal immigrant."
Judicial Watch said on Monday that it expects to release more emails soon.
