Facebook’s New Partnership With Shutterstock Offers Advertisers Access to a Wide Image Library

Facebook announced a partnership with Shuttershock, giving advertisers free access to millions of images from the Shutterstock library.

Facebook Inc., world's largest social networking site, announced Thursday, a partnership with Shutterstock, a stock photography agency and global image marketplace. Advertisers will benefit from the new alliance as it gives access to a wide array of digital images to choose from in order to make ads more attractive.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Facebook is integrating this great saying in to its platform by making millions of high-definition images available for business through its ad creation tool. Advertisers will be able to search and select images in any Facebook ad format. In addition, the Menlo Park, California-based company now allows selection of multiple images in the ad creation tool to create multiple ads simultaneously.

"High-quality, engaging photos often increase the performance of ads, particularly in News Feed. And now, through our collaboration with Shutterstock, it will be easier for businesses to integrate beautiful photography into their Facebook ads," Facebook Business said in a press statement.

With the latest multiple selection functionality, businesses can add images from their own libraries, past campaigns, page photos and also from the Shutterstock library.

Facebook also updated its mobile apps for managing Pages. With the additional update, admins can now upload multiple photos to a single post, edit existing Page administrators and add new ones from a mobile device. Users can download Android and iOS Pages Manager apps from Google Play Store and iTunes App Store.

Facebook's untiring effort to enhance its advertisements is self-explanatory as the social networking site generates most of its revenue through ads. In July, Facebook reported $1.81 billion in revenue, with more than 80 percent ($1.6 billion) coming from its advertisements.
