Update: The leaked photo appears to have been debunked, according to Daily Super Hero.
Disney has been planning an extensive expansion of the "Star Wars" universe ever since they purchased Lucasfilm in a blockbuster $4 billion deal back in 2012. As a result, fans will be treated to a new trilogy of "Star Wars" films while also getting a handful of spinoffs in a "Star Wars: Anthology" series. These include next year's "Star Wars: Rogue One" as well as an untitled 2018 Han Solo origin film that will be helmed by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord ("The Lego Movie").
But what else does Lucasfilm have up its sleeve?
Indie Revolver has posted a picture reportedly taken at a Lucasfilm meeting that depicts every planned "Star Wars" running through 2020. What immediately catches the eye is a previously unannounced Obi-Wan Kenobi film slated for a 2018 release.
Rumors about a potential Obi-Wan spinoff have cropped up before, especially in the last few months. Actor Ewan McGregor has not been shy about his willingness to step back into his Jedi robes. But if this picture is official, it appears as if the studios are planning the Kenobi feature for 2018 while the "Fett/Solo" Anthology film is actually slated for 2020.
Another interesting observation is that "Kenobi: The Balance of the Force" is not labeled as an Anthology film. Could this mean that Disney and Lucasfilm are pushing forward with a planned Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff trilogy?
Hopefully the studios will shed some light on the matter at this week's Comic-Con 2015.
