In what started off as a sweet post honoring first-time father Ryan Reynolds has now turned into a baby carrier controversy.
Actress Blake Lively posted a picture to her Instagram on Father's Day that featured her husband carrying their baby daughter, James, in a Lillebaby. Lively's followers soon noticed that the baby was not positioned right in the carrier and blasted Reynolds for it. He has learned from the momentary mistake and told Matt Lauer on the "Today Show" that he made a mistake.
"The baby's not properly secured in the vessel that I'm wearing there. I'm a first-time dad, and that is not the first mistake I've made. I can guarantee you it won't be last," the 38-year-old actor told Lauer. He noted that there is a learning curve when it comes to parenting and that it was his first time using the baby carrier. He has now mastered the art of carrying his child and said every time since the picture "has been perfect."
The actor was on the "Today Show" promoting his newest film, "Self/Less" which hits theatres July 10.
