A new skyscraper going up in Australia is about to be much curvier than others, for all the right reasons. The skyscrapers daring artistic design is based off of none other than Beyonce and her famous curves.
The Melbourne skyline will be gaining a new skyscraper from the architecture firm Elenberg Fraser, according to Us Weekly. The building, which will house retail and residential space, is being called the Premier Tower and will feature curves and edges inspired by Beyonce's flawless figure.
The Premiere Tower, located at 134 Spencer Street, will have a series of curves and bulges designed to make it as structurally efficient as possible, according to Dezeen Magazine. It's shape will respond well to climate, wind and specific limitations of the site.
When it comes to where they got the idea for this functional design, Beyonce is completely responsible.
"Art and science? You betcha," the firm wrote in a statement. "For those more on the art than science side, we will reveal that the form does pay homage to something more aesthetic-we're going to trust you've seen the music video for Beyonce's 'Ghost.'" In this video, Beyonce and her dancers are wrapped in black fabric in a way that perfectly shows off their curves.
The project was approved in May and will include 660 apartments and 160 hotel rooms, according to the New York Daily News.
"We're not going to deny that this is one stunning building," the firm added. "After all, the simplest solutions are usually the best."
It is unclear when construction for the skyscraper will be completed. Beyonce has not made any comments on the design yet.
