Aziz Ansari, best known for his two popular comedy albums, standup specials on Comedy Central and for playing everyone's favorite lovelorn wannabe mogul Tom Haverford on NBC's "Parks and Recreation" can now add author to his resume.
Ansari has reportedly landed a book deal for a look at dating in the modern age. The comedian will tackle the issues that face single people in an increasingly technologically advanced society.
"You know when you text someone you're romantically interested in and you don't hear anything back and then you see them post a photo of a pizza on Instagram? That's exactly what I want this book to deal with," Ansari said in a press release. "These are strange conundrums that no generation has ever faced before and it's a fascinating jumping off point for what I hope will be a very interesting book about modern courtship."
The book will act as a guide to a "new era for singles" according to USA Today. Ansari has spoken about this topic on stage before. For example, a joke off of his 2012 comedy album "Dangerously Delicious" has a joke in it where he talks about the stress that goes into not being texted back right away after asking a girl on a date. The bit can be seen in the video below courtesy of Comedy Central.

He isn't the only "Parks and Recreation" star with a book deal. Amy Poehler has an "illustrated, non-linear diary" coming out next year and Nick Offerman will be sharing his views in the book "Paddle Your Own Canoe: One Man's Fundementals For Delicious Living," due out Oct. 1.
Below is a video of Ansari doing standup. The video contains some strong language and harsh truths about text flirting.
