Cobie Smulders' Broken Leg Forces Her To Pull Out Of HBO Movie

Cobie Smulders broke her leg, and she has absolutely no idea how she did it.

The "How I Met Your Mother" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron" actress started feeling a pain in her leg and decided she should do something about it. "She said her leg started hurting so she had it checked out," a source told Us Weekly. "And that she must've done something to it without realizing sometime earlier."

The 33-year-old Canadian actress was recently cast to be in HBO's upcoming Anita Hill flick "Confirmation." She would have been starring alongside Kerry Washington, Grace Gummer, Dylan Baker and Peter McRobbie, but after finding out the devastating news, she was forced to drop out. Filming was supposed to start sometime this week, but HBO is going to have to find a different actress to play her part.

While Smulders rests up, HBO is "scrambling" to recast her part, according to the Daily Mail. With a six-month-old and a six-year-old at home, it may be hard for Smulders to stay off her leg. Thankfully, she has the help of her husband Taran Killam, who is an actor on "Saturday Night Live."

HBO has not yet revealed who will play her part in "Confirmation."
