Official casting news for Season 17 of "Dancing with the Stars" isn't expected to be announced until Sept. 4 on "Good Morning America" but the Internet is already buzzing about who will be gracing the dance floor.
According to several reports, the ABC show is rumored to be undergoing a total transformation. It had been previously reported by the New York Post that the judges table was also getting an overhaul.
According to the newspaper, Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Toniolo might not be returning in the fall. The three judges have been with the show from the very beginning but The Post reports that they did not have deals in place for the new season. There was also talk that "Dancing with the Stars" would be adding a fourth judge.
"Bring in someone like JLo to judge us," pro-dancer Karina Smirnoff said. "To give a little bit of a new criticism, a new perspective."
Unless something drastic happens in the next couple weeks, it's almost certain Lopez will not be the new judge since it was accidentally confirmed that she was returning to "American Idol."
As far as casting rumors go there has been several names mentioned. The most recent will probably shock you. According to The Hollywood Gossip "Teen Mom" Farrah Abraham could be one of the new contestants. Also on the list is "Tanning Mom" Patricia Krentcil.
"They are hoping for confirmation soon, but it's coming down to the last minute," a source told The Hollywood Gossip. "They have been asked and it's in their hands."
Other possibilities have included Paula Deen, Jason Veritek, John Stamos, Bella Thorne, Seth MacFarlane, "Dance Moms" Abbey Lee Miller and country star Jo Dee Messina.
Deen has already reportedly turned the role down and Messina told her fans on Facebook that she has met with producers but hasn't mentioned anything else about it.
The new season of "Dancing with the Stars" premieres Sept. 16 on ABC.
