"Teen Wolf" will be coming back for another season. Only three episodes into season five, the MTV teen supernatural drama has been renewed for a sixth season.
Jeff Davis, the show's executive producer, made the announcement during Comic-Con on Thursday in San Diego, The Wrap reported. The series will return for an expanded two-part 20-episode run.
"As long as you keep watching, we'll probably get to keep making it. So thank you," Davis said, thanking fans for their support. The news was also posted on the show's official Twitter with a tweet that read, "SEASON 6 IS HAPPENING. I REPEAT. SEASON 6 IS HAPPENING. #TeenWolfSDCC."
Dylan Sprayberry, who joined the show early in the current season, has been promoted to series regular for the new season.
Davis was joined by cast members Tyler Posey, Dylan O'Brien, Cody Christian, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig and Sprayberry at the panel to introduce a trailer for the remainder of season five and reveal some secrets about the upcoming season.
"Something happens in episode 5, in the beginning, that causes a rift between (Posey) and Stiles (O'Brien) and threatens their relationship," Davis revealed. "It's something that Theo (Christian) uses."
"Scott feels like he can't handle his own pack," Posey added. "Scott's pack is falling apart around him. He can't figure out what it is and why and I think he is dealing with the idea that somebody can handle the pack or be a better Alpha than he can."
Sprayberry promised during the panel that "there will be more ass-kicking to come," but also added that his character will have some major confrontations with the pack leader (Posey).
New episodes of 'Teen Wolf' air Mondays at 10/9c on MTV.
