Australia coach Ewen McKenzie is hoping his team bounces back from last week's 47-29 loss at home to New Zealand. McKenzie called the thrashing a learning experience and believes his squad can improve when they visit New Zealand on Saturday, Sky Sports reports.
"You can't fudge experience and I know this group learned a great deal from last week and will be much better for the experience on Saturday night," McKenzie told Sky Sports.
Despite last week's poor showing, Australia's new coach remains confident in the players on the team.
"We made a decision to reward players that were in-form and who we believed were capable of executing what we are trying to achieve as a group," he said. "That doesn't change overnight or following one losing result.
"It's always important to be conscious of finding a balance between selecting experience against youth but the only way to develop that experience is by providing opportunities to players and hoping they take them."
Scott Fardy will take over on Saturday as starter for Hugh McMeniman, who is out after sustaining a shoulder injury in last week's match.
For the All Blacks, Tom Taylor received the starting nod at fly-half over the more experienced Colin Slade.
