The N'Sync reunion everyone has been talking about has finally been confirmed! According to US Weekly, a source revealed that the boy band reunion is happening and they will be performing some of their classic songs like "Bye Bye Bye."
For the first time since 2003, Justin Timberlake will be joined on stage with JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fantone and Chris Kirkpatrick. According to US Weekly, the last televised performance for the group was during the Grammy Awards tribute for the Bee Gees. In 2005, they released a Greatest Hits album and since then Timberlake has been focusing on his solo career.
"They will reenact some of their greatest videos in a medley," a source told the magazine. "Then Justin will sing his new song 'Take Back the Night' and get his [Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award]."
Earlier in the week, Bass spoke about the reunion rumors on his show "Dirty Pop With Lance Bass" for SiriusXM radio show and denied they would be reuniting.
"This morning I woke up to a lot of rumors flying [around] that the N'Sync reunion is happening after eleven years at the VMAs this Saturday," he said. "Well, let me tell you how this all came about. Justin Timberlake is getting the Michael Jackson [Video] Vanguard Award this Sunday at the awards, so of course people are automatically going to think we're going to be there performing."
"I knew these rumors were going to fly," he added.
Bass said that part of the rumors came from a photo he posted on Instagram of him and the rest of N'Sync watching Timberlake perform at the Sun Life Stadium. He captioned the flick "Florida boys back together - watching JT and Jay Z- amazing show."
The MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday, Aug. 25 at 9 p.m.
