Metalcore rockers Bring Me The Horizon’s new song “Happy People” is HNGN’s New Music Monday selection for July 13. If you like a driving rock track, then this is worth a listen!
The song will be on the band's next LP, which they have not released any information on yet.
However, they are releasing a live compilation, "Bring Me The Horizon: Live at Wembley Arena," on July 24. It is based on footage from when the rockers played the venue in December of 2014, according to HMV.com.
"Happy People" falls in line with what band members envision their image to be, according to a 2014 interview with Gig Wise.
"We want to be a gateway band for people," the group’s lead singer, Oli Sykes, told the website. "For me that was Linkin Park, they were the band that got me into heavier music. It's not our goal but we're not elitist - we think that's cool if you can get other into this kind of music, that's awesome."
Sykes credited his band's unique rhythm and exposure in reputable venues throughout the United Kingdom as a key to their success.
"I guess we didn't know how far the band would come along, but at the same time there are not many English bands that have of this kind of heaviness — apart from IRON MAIDEN — that have achieved it,” Sykes told The Independent. “It's always the American ones. We still don't feel like a big rock band. If you thought about a band playing Wembley, you'd think of them as superstars, wouldn't you? But that's not the case. We're still normal people doing day-to-day things."
Bring Me The Horizon's next big show is at Reading Festival in England on August 29.
