Apple Releases iCloud for iWork Beta To All Users With An Apple ID

Apple has released iCloud for iWork beta for all users with an Apple ID following a test phase since it was first launched in June at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference.

Apple has secretly launched the free beta version of iWork for iCloud to all users with an Apple ID. At first, the service was only rolled out to developers and then select Apple users had access. But now the company has opened access for all users with an Apple ID to test the iWork beta, which is yet to be launched officially.

The service was initially launched in June at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference. The iWork suit comprises of web-based versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote, enabling users to create and edit iWork documents stored in iCloud. The availability of iWork beta to the public has not been officially announced by Apple, but it appears from the site that anyone with an Apple ID have access to the service.

All iCloud account holders can access the betas of Pages, Numbers and Keynote by logging into their iCloud accounts. The service supports Safari 6.0.3 or later, Chrome 27.0.1 or later, and Internet Explorer 9.0.8 or later, on both Macs and PCs. Apple has promised to expand the support of service to Mozilla Firefox and Opera browsers.

The service currently remains free for anyone to access and use but it is unclear if the company will add fees or bundle the service with its existing iWork on iOS and OS X, which sell for $30 collectively. We can expect some news on iWork for iCloud as the company is readying to announce its new iPhone this September.
