Miss Nevada lived the nightmare of every beauty pageant contestant ever - she tripped on stage and then messed up her interview question! Brittany McGowan made the top ten in Sunday night's Miss USA pageant, and when she took the stage in her formal dress, she tripped in front of the whole audience! The beauty queen recovered from the minor misstep and made it to the top five - only to seriously stumble during the final interview, reported the New York Daily News.

The 25-year-old was asked by a judge what she would do to improve race relations in the United States. She appeared taken aback by the question but still tried to reply, according to Fox News. I think what we need to do is bring..ahhh we need to be more accepting of each other and we need to bring people together."

Race was a huge issue going into the competition after Miss Universe co-owner Donald Trump made controversial comments about race, specifically about Mexican immigrants. Trump was a no-show at the pageant and cited campaign responsibilities as the reason for not attending.
