The "Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" actress Claire Holt is engaged! The happy couple took to Holt's Instagram to share the exciting news and show off the beautiful ring. The actress has been in a relationship with Matt Kaplan for years and simply captioned the photo, "Yes."

Not a lot is known about her future husband, Kaplan, as the actress remains mostly quiet about her private relationship. Holt does however regularly share pictures of him on her social media accounts, and they sure do look happy!
In an interview with People the Australian beauty reveals it is her boyfriend who helps her perfect her American accent for roles. "My boyfriend - Matt Kaplan - is American, so any time I'm unsure of how to say something, I say, 'Hey how do you say this?' and he yells it out," she says.
Holt is no longer a part of either of "The Vampire Diaries" or its spinoff, "The Originals," explaining she wants to focus on her private life and take a break from acting, according to Us Weekly. "I made a life choice, not a career choice," she says. It seems like her life choice has worked out for the best!
