A shocking new exposé, released this morning by The Center for Medical Progress, caught one of Planned Parenthood’s top executives describing how the organization sells the body parts of aborted fetuses for profit.
In the video, filmed July 25, 2014, actors posing as buyers from a human biologics company meet with Planned Parenthood's Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, who discusses selling the body parts of unborn children for “$30-$100 per specimen,” according to LifeNews. Over lunch, no less, she also states that the company uses illegal partial-birth abortion procedures in order to get parts good enough to sell and, yes, she is aware of the laws surrounding such practices.
Nucatola has worked for Planned Parenthood for more than a decade and has been overseeing medical practices at all locations since 2009, reports LifeSiteNews. She also trains new abortion doctors and performs abortions herself in Los Angeles.
She says that doctors “huddle at the beginning of the day” to discuss which fetal body parts are needed by customers. “Then, Planned Parenthood abortionists tailor the procedure to assure they do not destroy the organs, maximizing profitability,” says LifeSite.
“We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m going to, basically, crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact,” says Nucatola during the “business meeting."
She also explains that, when a doctor knows that certain body parts are in demand, they will perform the abortion with “ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps,” in order not to damage the wanted item.
According to LifeSite, in 2003, President George W. Bush signed a law outlawing partial-birth abortions. Additionally, it is a federal felony punishable by two years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Additionally, in regards to the sale of human fetal tissue in general, it is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $500,000, reports LifeNews.
Nucatola is well aware of these laws. “At the national office, we have a Litigation and Law Department that just really doesn’t want us to be the middle people for this issue right now… it’s just too touchy an issue for us to be an official middleman,” she says.
“Planned Parenthood’s criminal conspiracy to make money off of aborted baby parts reaches to the very highest levels of their organization,” says the project lead for this video, The Center for Medical Progress’ David Daleiden. “Elected officials must listen to the public outcry for Planned Parenthood to be held accountable to the law and for our tax dollars to stop underwriting this barbaric abortion business.”
