Miley Cyrus Twerks For the VMAs, Releases New Song About Heartbreak Right Before Shocking Performance (LISTEN)

Just a few hours before Miley Cyrus hit the stage to perform "We Can't Stop" for the MTV VMAs, the singer released a new single, USA Today reports. The slow, heartbreaking ballad, called "Wrecking Ball," has a lot of people wondering if the lyrics are giving a glimpse into her relationship with Liam Hemsworth.

It has been rumored for a while that Cyrus and Hemsworth had ended their engagement even though she has denied that the rumors were true. On the song, Cyrus sings about falling in love and doing everything she can to make the failing relationship work. Despite everything she does the romance falls apart.

"I came in like a wrecking ball/I never hit so hard in love/All I wanted was to break your wall," she sings. "All you ever did was break me/Yeah, you wreck me."

"I never meant to start a war/I just wanted you to let me in. and instead of using force/I guess I should have let you in... Don't you ever say I just walked away/I will always want you."

"Wrecking Ball" is the latest single from her upcoming album "Bangerz" which is due out Oct. 8. The former Disney Star received a tremendous amount of praise from her mom, Trish, who tweeted how much she loved the song.

"Wrecking Ball could be my favorite song EVER!!! I've been listening to it for a months on end and I NEVER get tired of it! Blows me away."

Last night, at the MTV Award show the "Party in the USA" singer blew a lot of people away after her shocking performance. The star walked on stage with her now signature giant bears and danced, grinded, made lewd gestures and sang to her hit song.

She also joined Robin Thicke on stage as he sang "Blurred Lines." The audience watched as the 20-year-old strutted across the stage and twerked on the singer.
