Heather Thomson is leaving the drama behind. The "Real Housewives of New York City" star wants to leave the Bravo reality TV show after three seasons, Us Weekly reported.
"She wants to focus full-time on her business, Yummie, her family, and expanding into the health and nutrition arena," a source close to the Bravo network show told Us Weekly.
Thomson started on the show in 2012 as part of Bravo's attempt to revamp the series in its fifth season by bringing on new cast mates. But the budding entrepreneur wanted to use her spot on the show to promote her shape wear line, Yummie. Instead, her storylines consist of fighting with her fellow "RHONY" co-stars. The source said the cons of continuing with the show outweigh the pros.
"She did the show to promote her business and later to be with her best friend, Carole Radziwill, and didn't expect it to end up with fighting with Bethenny and Sonja [Morgan] and the rest edited out," the source said. "It is no longer a good fit with where she sees her life going so she is making the choice to walk away."
The most recent episode of "RHONY" featured another argument, this time with her co-star LuAnn de Lesseps, according to the Daily Mail. During a ladies' trip to Turks and Caicos, Lesseps brought home a married man and Thomson freaked out. Thomson insisted that Lesseps put the other women in danger by bringing a stranger into the house.
In an interview with People, Thomson explained she takes a "live and let live" approach to Lesseps and it's not Lesseps' choices that bother her but Lesseps' tendency to deny them.
"If LuAnn wants to sleep with married guys or do whatever the hell she wants, it does not affect me, and it really doesn't affect my relationship with her," Thomson told People. "It's that she pretends she doesn't."
