Minka Kelly took to her Twitter account Wednesday to deny rumors that she was dating Sean Penn. The two celebrities were seen together at Kelly's birthday dinner, but she said it was nothing more than a friendly celebration.
"Not my nature to address gossip but hoping this last one goes away already. Not dating a friend I had a group dinner with. #Sillymedia," Kelly tweeted.

The rumor started when Kelly celebrated her 35th birthday at French Laundry on June 23 in Napa Valley. Kelly and Penn supposedly met at a Haiti charity event, reported TMZ.
"Sean and Minka have been friends for a long time. It was just a group of friends out to dinner and purely platonic," a source told People magazine.
Penn was most recently romantically linked to actress Charlize Theron. The couple got together in December 2013 and broke up last month, Us Weekly reported.
