New Jersey rapper Joe Budden’s latest song, “Broke,” is HNGN’s New Music Monday selection for July 20 for its unique sound.
“This is the opposite spectrum of my last album, 'No Love Lost,' which hardcore Joe Budden fans probably hated,” the rapper told Hot 97 "Ebro In The Morning” co-host Ebro Darden Monday during a visit to the program. “Very light for them. There used to more heavier content so while this content is extremely heavy, it’s concise, it’s direct, I almost want to call it a concept album, but I won’t.”
The hip-hop artist is releasing the highly anticipated collaboration Oct. 9, according to hotnewhiphop, and it is bound to be a good one!
“We broke like skeletons (it's been a while) loving to the bone,” a woman’s vocals and Budden simultaneously say in the meaningful record, according to genius.com. “(We ain't talk, we ain't seen each other) Our hearts so delicate, I'm hanging on too long. (I guess that's how it's supposed to be). Nothing left to hide (maybe this is fake) nothing left to show. We broke like skeletons (maybe we'll never know) loving to the bone.”
