'American Horror Story: Coven' Premieres In October: Bewitching Tale Takes Place During Salem Witch Trials (TRAILER)

"American Horror Story: Coven" is almost here with an all-star cast filled bewitching new season!

Yes, your favorite "American Horror Story" regulars are back, including Jessican Lange, Evan Peters and Denis O'Hare.

"The great thing about this entire cast is you have to be brave. You just have to jump in and do it and not be cautious," Lange told E! News. "You have 12 episodes to create this character and you don't always know what the next episode is going to present for you."

FX officially released the following description along with the trailer:

"American Horror Story: Coven" tells the secret history of witches and witchcraft in America. Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival, Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own. Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Jessica Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way."

Murphy is the creative mastermind of the 13 episode miniseries. According to E! News, the show's creator pulled inspiration from real-life historical figures to create intriguing characters. "American Horror Story" is the only show of its kind on cable television at the moment. No other series creates a brand new story line every season, and it is showing no signs of slowing down.

"American Horror Story: Coven" will premiere on FX on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 10 p.m. ET.
