"Real Housewives of Orange County" star Vicki Gunvalson has been caught in a lie after admitting via text message that she knew her daughter was married before filming even began. According to Radar Online, Gunvalson was texting with Brooks Ayers about filming a scene where her daughter, Briana Wolfsmith, reveals that she secretly got married in Las Vegas.
During the episode, a shocked Gunvalson listened as her daughter broke the news to her that she and her boyfriend tied-the-knot at a "drive-through chapel."
"This is your son-in-law," Wolfsmith told her mom.
"So you didn't ask me for her hand in marriage? You didn't think that was important for me to know? She responded.
It's not clear where or how Radar got the text messages but the gossip website reports that Ayers texted Gunvalson about meeting up but she responded that she couldn't because she would be filming.
"What are y'all filming," Ayers asked Gunvalson on Nov. 2 Radar reports.
"Her telling me she's engaged/married," Gunvalson responded.
It's no secret that some reality TV shows aren't always "real." It was speculated in the past that some scenes from "Keeping Up With the Kardshians" was staged as well as Jennifer Lopez's show "South Beach Tow."
Lopez's reality show came under fire after a video surfaced of what appears to be a camera crew setting up a fight to be filmed. According to reports Bernice was towing the car of an older man when they got into an altercation. In the video it shows the older man and Bernice standing next to each other waiting for the crew to get ready.
When Radar reportedly asked TruTV about the scene they said that the show is based on a reality and sometimes scenes are "reenacted."
