Floyd "Money" Mayweather is officially set to fight Andre Berto this September, TMZ Sports reports.
Negotiations between the two sides have been ongoing for weeks, but now both camps are confirming that the fight is on for September 12th in Las Vegas.
"It's a pleasure and honor to be in this position and I'm looking forward to capitalizing on every moment of it," Berto told TMZ Sports.
There is no love lost between the challenger and the champion. Berto claims that Mayweather has been prank phone calling him repeatedly over a woman. Though this claim has not yet been confirmed, it indicates some bad blood between the two fighters in advance of their bout.
Mayweather is 48-0, most recently securing a unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao back in May. Berto is 33-3.
