Chris Brown's Home Invasion: Robbery Committed By Close Friends?

Just last Wednesday, Chris Brown's Los Angeles home was invaded by robbers, in the early morning, when he was not home. Money and other valuables were stolen from the house after the thieves held up his aunt at gunpoint and locked her in a closet. Now, it turns out that it may have been some of his very close friends who committed the crime.

The 26-year-old hip-hop star believes that it was his friends who were involved in this robbery, and the police feel the same way, reported TMZ. Law enforcement sources said they believe the four guys who broke into the home were extremely "tight" with Brown. Apparently, a club promoter was also involved because he knew that Brown had $50,000 from a club appearance at his home. Since the Bloods may also be involved, a member of the Los Angeles Police Department Gang Unit has been assigned to investigate this case further.

After news broke of the robbery, Brown's mom, Joyce Hawkins, revealed that she knew it was one of his friends and an inside job, according to TMZ. She had apparently been telling him for years to stay away from his "no good-ass friends." Hours after the invasion, Hawkins tweeted, "Watch who you standing beside."

Brown has not made any public comments on the home invasion, according to Gossip Cop. Members of his entourage are also encouraging him to cut ties with those specific friends who may have been involved.
