After deciding to end their marriage nearly two years ago, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have finally made it official.
The 31-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" reality star and 35-year-old NBA player have taken the final step to their split by signing the divorce papers together. The court records show that the documents were filed on Friday and all that needs to be done to make it official is a signature from a judge, TMZ reports. They have reached a property settlement and it should all be over within a few days.
"They saw each other when she was in Vegas and both signed the divorce documents together," a source told Us Weekly.
Unlike Odom, Kardashian has romantically moved on since the two made the decision back in 2013. She was dating rapper French Montana for some time before they broke up for good in the fall. Recently, rumors have been going around that she's dating another NBA player, James Harden. The two were spotted cozying up to each other in Vegas earlier this month.
"Lamar was really hurt and felt like Khloe had no respect for him after she was out in public with James Harden," the source continued to say. "He just kept seeing her with different guys and that was it for him. French was at least a relationship, but here she was with another guy. He finally came to his senses and told her he wanted out and signed the papers." After Khloe was seen with Harden in Vegas, Odom confronted her on the issue and she went to see him so they could get this done once and for all.
They were together for nearly four years before breaking up when Kardashian admitted that he had cheated on her, according to the Daily Mail. There were also claims that he was using drugs, and as the drama continued, he was struggling to perform well in the NBA and was eventually dropped from the Los Angeles Clippers.
As for Kardashian, she's covering up the news of the divorce by making a different big announcement. She took to Instagram today to let her followers know that she has a new show coming out. "Excited to announce my new talk show 'Kocktails with Khloe' on the @FYI network!!" she captioned the selfie of her drinking a glass of wine. "Can't wait to show you all what we have in store for you on the show. More to come soon!"
Neither Kardashian nor Odom have made any public comments since the papers have officially been signed.
