Darren Criss, who plays Blaine on the show "Glee," spilled some surprising details about what fans can expect during the first two episodes of the new season. Fox released another teaser trailer, this time with Criss talking about what's going to happen.
The actor maintained a very upbeat attitude despite the obvious fact that Finn, played by Cory Monteith was missing. Producers and executives have been trying to figure out how to address the sudden death of Monteith.
According to the Daily Mail, the show is still trying to figure out how they will write Finn from the show. The third episode, titled "Quarterback," will deal with the loss of the character. It has been rumored that the episode will begin with the characters being told about Finn's death and the rest of the show will focus on the grieving process.
It hasn't been revealed how Finn will die and executive producer Ryan Murphy hinted that the show may not ever divulge that information.
"At one point, we were going to have his character die after an accidental drug overdose - that was something we had considered," Murphy told Deadline. "But we have decided that we're not going to have him pass from that. Basically, what we're doing in the episode is we are not telling you yet, or maybe not at all, how that character died."
In the teaser trailer Criss also talked about what he's excited about the most in the new season. At the end of Season 4 his character was seen with a box behind his back with what a lot of fans speculated was an engagement ring.
He hinted that Blaine could end up proposing to his boyfriend Kurt, played by Chris Colfer. It was speculated before that the couple were getting serious after they were spotted kissing on set.
"At the end of season 4 there was a little cliff hanger to do with a little box behind Blaine's back," he said. "Blaine is getting ideas... it might have to do with something that rhymes with supposal."
He also said that he was excited about doing the Beatles tribute which the first episodes will be about.
"We are coming back with one of the greatest secret weapons - Beatlemania," he said. "Beatles is a big deal for me."
There was one shocker in the clip. At the end of last season fans saw cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester get fired but she is back and William McKinley High is getting a major shakeup. In the clip a student welcomes back the coach and she corrects her saying "It's Principal Sylvester."
"Glee" returns to Fox September 26.
