Loredana Nesci, a former Los Angeles police officer and the "legal diva" star of SundanceTV's reality series "Loredana Esq.," was found dead in her Redondo Beach, Calif. home on Wednesday morning, People reported. Nesci's boyfriend, Robert Reagan, was arrested in connection with her death.
Redondo Beach Police responded to a call from Reagan at about 7:20 a.m. on Wednesday to report an emergency, according to The Los Angeles Times. Sgt. Fabian Saucedo said Reagan sounded "distraught" during his 911 call. Police discovered the lawyer's body in the home the couple shared on Nelson Avenue and are investigating her death as a homicide.
Reagan was arrested shortly after her body was found on suspicion of murder and is being held on $1 million bail. The couple has a 5-year-old son together, who was not at the property when the police arrived, Us Weekly reported.
Police have not released any further details about the 47-year-old's death, but it is reported that Nesci suffered a gunshot wound, according to Deadline Hollywood.
Nesci spent 1996 with the Los Angeles Police Department, according to her website TheLegalDiva.com. She left to pursue law school, graduated in 2002 from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. and began working as an attorney shortly after obtaining her degree. Her reality show on SundanceTV ran for six, one-hour long episodes in 2014, and she was known as the "legal diva." Her brothers, Sal and Rob Nesci, are also in law enforcement with the Meriden Police Department in Connecticut.
"We lost our sister, who is a great person," Sal, a police lieutenant in Meriden, told the local paper Record Journal. "She is definitely larger than life and she will be sadly missed."
