Country singing star Alan Jackson's 20-year-old daughter was arrested on Wednesday on grounds of underage drinking and hitting a police officer, law enforcement officials said.
Alexandra "Ali" Jackson was riding in the passenger's seat of a Range Rover when highway patrol pulled the vehicle over for speeding and tailgating.
According to Jackson's arrest warrant, she and the other passengers in the car were driving south of Music Row, in Nashville, Tenn.
Once the Range Rover was parked in the shoulder lane, officers approached and started asking questions.
All of a sudden, Jackson got out of the car, yelling demands and angrily spewing insults at law enforcement.
She ended up punching an officer in the chest. Police could tell she'd drank a fair amount of alcohol, despite her report that she had only consumed around three beverages that evening.
Police also mentioned that Jackson name-dropped her farther, saying he "would do anything I wanted him to do."
When the police officer attempted putting cuffs on Jackson, she resisted, squirming out of his reach while yelling.
Jackson has been charged with underage consumption of alcohol, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer, USA Today reported.
Jackson's court date is scheduled for Sept. 23.
Her father Alan did not have any comment, according to the singer's publicist.
In April this year, Jackson was involved in an Internet hoax that stated she'd died in a motor vehicle accident.
