Jimmie "JJ" Walker, the famous sitcom actor best known for his role on the 1970s comedy "Good Times," has opened up about his friend and fellow comedian Bill Cosby, saying he thought everybody knew about Cosby's philandering ways and his affairs with multiple women, TMZ reported.
"I actually thought that everybody knew about all these women," Walker told TMZ's cameras. "That's what I thought."
But it's the news that broke within the last year that paints Cosby as a sexual predator, when more than 40 women came forward and accused the 78-year-old of drugging and sexually assaulting them. That's what surprised Walker the most about his "Let's Do It Again" (1975) co-star.
"The thing that shocks me the most is the drugging," the TV legend said, explaining that of all the times he's worked with Cosby in the past, he never saw "nothing with the drug thing."
"But the women," Walker continued. "I knew about that."
He showed some remorse for the backlash that Cosby has received since the allegations against him came to light, but his sympathy isn't for Cosby. Walker said the saddest part of all this is that it shattered Cosby's image and career as a great comedian and actor.
"I love Bill Cosby, I worked with Bill Cosby many times," he said. "The thing that upsets me the most is that we're never gonna see his work again because he's gone forever and ever and it's unfortunate."
