Actress Gal Gadot rose to fame as Gisele in the "Fast and the Furious" movie franchise, but it's her upcoming role as the reincarnation of Lynda Carter's iconic "Wonder Woman" in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" that has everyone buzzing. In two recent interviews, the model and Miss Israel 2004 revealed the diet and exercise routine that helped her get fit for her role as the legendary superhero.
"I come from a very sporty background because my mom is a gymnastics teacher," Gadot told Interview Magazine. "So growing up I was never sitting watching TV in the afternoons. I always played ball outside in the backyard. I was a dancer for 12 years. I did tennis, basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, you name it."
She credits her upbringing with her preparation for the mandatory two years' service in the Israel Defense Forces. She said her previous military experience taught her values and discipline.
Gadot also revealed that her workouts have increased now that she's committed to her role as Wonder Woman in the upcoming "Batman v Superman" film. She said she's not allowed to disclose specific details about her training, but she dished on the type of exercises she typically does.
"We do a lot of different martial arts," she told Harper's Bazaar. "But in my ordinary life when I don't work, I like to paddle board and do TRX."
As for her diet, Gadot claimed she is a foodie and said she prefers to stick to portion control rather than deny herself the occasional treat.
"I look at food as fuel and I want to give the best to my body," she said. "So of course I have my bad things that I eat like burgers or ice cream with chocolate. I don't restrict myself, I can eat everything. It's all a matter of measurements and quantity of the food."
