A leopard attacked the TMS private school in India's southern Karnataka state on Thursday, wherein three children and a man was injured, the Daily Mail reported.
The school was immediately evacuated, and school officials declared it a holiday, Yahoo! reported.
Amateur footage was taken that shows the creature growling behind a barred window. The video was distorted due to the video maker's panic as the leopard tried to go near him.
School children and staff are heard screaming as they run away from the scene, but injuries weren't avoided.
The injured children and a man were rushed to a nearby hospital. The man acquired a hand injury when he was attacked as he went to close the window of the room where the leopard was locked.
Several policemen and forest officials came and later surrounded the classroom in a bid to capture the leopard alive, and a team of veterinarians with tranquilizers also came to help deal with the big cat, The Telegraph reported. However, there is no update on if they successfully seized the animal.
