Congratulations to Shawn Johnson.
The 23-year-old Olympic gold-medalist gymnast and former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant is engaged to longtime boyfriend Andrew East.
The exciting event happened on Friday while Johnson was at the Cubs vs. Phillies game along with Team USA gymnast Alicia Sacramone for first-pitch duties. When walking off the field, Johnson was surprised by East, who got on one knee and popped the question in front of a cheering crowd.
Johnson has yet to issue a statement about her engagement but posted several photos on her social media accounts.
"Today the love of my life asked me to be his forever... AND I SAID YES!!" Johnson tweeted a sweet video of the proposal to her 455k Twitter followers. The video shows the 2008 gold medalist covering her mouth from excitement and bobbing her head up and down before jumping in her hubby's arms.
Johnson also posted the video on Instagram, with the caption, "Well I know its not a secret...But I experienced the greatest surprise a girl could ever ask for today...The love of my life @andrewdeast asked me to be his forever AND I SAID YES!!!!!! #isaidyes #weregettingmarried #holycow."
Sacramone also uploaded a photo collage of the proposal accompanied by the caption, "Pretty eventful day - throwing out the first pitch, walking on our hands...and @shawnjohnson getting engaged to our boy @Andrewdeast #causal #nbd #happy tears."
East, a rookie long snapper for the Kansas City Chiefs, also shared a picture of himself on one knee captioned "I'm a lucky guy to put a ring on this girls finger! I love you @shawnjohnson."
