Karachi: Target Killer Suspected Of 34 Murders Arrested In Pakistan

A target killer suspected of murdering 34 people has been arrested in Karachi, Pakistan's largest city, by Pakistani intelligence officials. He has been named as Hanif, according to Dunya News.

According to sources, the suspect has links with Commander Sheraz Comrade, a faction involved in Lyari gang war, according to Dunya News. Lyari is a district within Karachi, a city of over 20 million people, which has problems with gang violence between ethnic minority groups.

The suspect's brother, Sohail (also known as Sunny) is also wanted in connection with numerous murders in Karachi. He has so far managed to evade capture, and is thought to have fled to Muscat, the capital city of neighboring Oman, as reported by Pakistan News.

During the operation, officials were also able to seize a number of rifles and hundreds of bullets, after interrogating the suspect.

Hanif was arrested while traveling to Karachi from Oman, and was apprehended at Jinnah International Airport, according to Geo TV.
