John Cena broke his nose for real on live TV during a pretty gruesome WWE match.
On last night's "Monday Night Raw," the 38-year-old WWE superstar was up against Seth Rollins when he got a knee to the face, according to TMZ. It was obvious that Cena, who recently had a part in the hit movie "Trainwreck," had broken his nose as blood immediately started dripping from it. Despite the injury, he continued on with the match like the champ he is and he even ended up winning, keeping his United States Championship title.
"As you can see on television (Monday) night, John suffered from a nasal fraction. He got quite a bit of displacement," Dr. Steve Daquino said, according to WWE. "So we sent him over to the local emergency room so he can be evaluated by the ears, nose and throat doctor who's on call tonight and see what can be done to properly repair it."
Cena's girlfriend of three years, Nikki Bella, 31, who is also a WWE star, shared her love for her boyfriend on Twitter, according to Daily Mail. "My man @JohnCena is legit Superman. The strength & heart he showed 2night was unreal," she wrote. "Continues 2always be a huge inspiration 2 all of us!"
Rollins, on the other hand, was a bit of a sore loser. "The WWE World Heavyweight Championship is superior to the United States Championship anyway," he posted to his Facebook.
