Katie Hopkins: Euthanasia Vans Needed Because U.K. Has 'Too Many Old People'

In a recent interview with Michael Buerk, when asked what she would do if she ruled the world, controversial TV personality Katie Hopkins stated that if she was in charge, one of the first things she would introduce would be "euthanasia vans," that visit homes of the elderly and put them to sleep, according to Radio Times.

Hopkins, 40, said she would like to live in a world where the elderly enjoyed a similar treatment to dogs and can be put be put out of their misery. "We just have far too many old people. It's ridiculous to be living in a country where we can put dogs to sleep but not people," she said.

Hopkins' solution to the problem would, she claims, be "easy": "Euthanasia vans - just like ice-cream vans - that would come to your home... It would all be perfectly charming. They might even have a nice little tune they'd play. I mean this genuinely. I'm super-keen on euthanasia vans. We need to accept that just because medical advances mean we can live longer, it's not necessarily the right thing to do," according to The Huffington Post.

Continuing her endearing talk, the former Celebrity Big Brother star reserved a few harsh words for the overweight people of Britain. "You're fat because you eat too much and don't do exercise," she said. "End of. My dream job would be to sit in the doctor's surgery, ticking them off. Get a grip, you fat b*****d. Stop eating and get out there and walk."

Earlier this year, the columnist gained 43 pounds and then lost it just to point out that obese people are lazy, as HNGN previously reported.
