Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and his family have moved to New Orleans creating the new CW show “The Originals.” While some may be sad to see them leave Mystic Falls, this show presents a lot of potential. Here is my inaugural season wish list for “The Originals”:
No. 1—“I will be your last”
Let’s just get this one out of the way because we’re all thinking it. I don’t know when Caroline (Candice Accola) gets breaks for her classes at Whitmore College but she’s going to have to make her way down to New Orleans to re-ignite her love with Klaus. The good news is the writers and producers left it open so it’s still a possibility—unlike Matt (Zach Roerig) and Rebekah’s relationship. C’mon Julie and Caroline, make this happen. Please?
No. 2—Siblings Unite!
Please feel free to comment below and remind me, but I don’t think there was ever a time when Klaus, Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) ever came together to take down a threat. It would be nice to see the three of them form an unstoppably Original fighting squad and destroy a threat. They may not agree on everything, but we can assume they all love the baby Haley is carrying. Who knows? Maybe a threat to Klaus’ child may force the dysfunctional family to band together.
No. 3—Keep Camille human—and alive
We know that Klaus and Marcel will be jockeying for the affection of poor clueless Camille (Leah Piper), although she probably won’t stay clueless for long. However, she doesn’t need to turn into a vampire. Hopefully the writers see fit to keep her on Team Human and hopefully the feud between Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and Klaus doesn’t end up with one of them killing her. But alas, this is just a hope. No one would be surprised if she’s bearing fangs and having issues controlling her feeding urges by Season 2.
“The Originals” makes its small screen debut Oct. 3, 9/8c on The CW.
