John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John Reunite for Christmas Album

John Travolta and Olivia Newton's musical "Grease" became a cult of its own. Not just their acting, but their singing was also perfectly in sync. And now after more than three decades, the duo is reuniting to create a Christmas album.

The album will include 13 tracks, with featured guest singers like Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, James Taylor, Chick Corea and Kenny G. The idea of the album first struck Travolta.

"From the moment we decided to do this, magic happened," Travolta said in a statement. "Everyone we contacted agreed to do it."

Newton-John is also very excited about the project and says despite their busy schedules they're sure to make time to make this work.

"With our busy schedules, I don't know how we got it done," she told reporters. "John and I have always connected. That's never gone away. When we're together, we have a good laugh and feel bonded to one another. We've been through some amazing experiences together."

"My desire was to make This Christmas an intimate album, not something too ostentatious or showy," Travolta said. "I wanted people to be able to play it around the house or in the car during the holidays, and make us part of your celebration.

"Gathering around the house listening to Christmas music has always been an important part of that time of year to my family."

Among the other Christmas songs, the album will also feature a new original duet "I Think You Might Like It," which is said to be a squeal to their smashing hit duet "You're the One That I Want" from the classic 1978 movie musical. The new song is written by John Farrar, who wrote the now-famous song from "Grease."

"If it wasn't for that song, we wouldn't be here talking about it 30 years later," Newton-John said.
