Wanda Shelley was one of the core group of friends and family members who kept vigil by Bobbi Kristina Brown's side as she remained unresponsive while under care in an Atlanta-area hospice. Now that Brown has passed, Shelley opened up to Entertainment Tonight co-host Kevin Frazier about how they made Brown feel comfortable during her final days, and said she even played music by Whitney Houston, Brown's mother, for her.
"It wasn't a day that I wasn't there that Krissi didn't get a kiss from loving Auntie Wanda to say 'I love you baby girl, I'll see you tomorrow,'" Shelley told Entertainment Tonight.
Shelley first befriended the Browns when she worked as an executive producer on the Bravo TV series "Being Bobby Brown." The reality show only aired for one season in 2005, but Shelley remained close with the family. She was part of the group of family and friends who visited Bobbi Kristina every day while she was in hospice care.
"They read the Bible, they prayed with her to make sure she wasn't making the transition alone," Shelley revealed. "I would play music for her, I would play inspirational music. I played her mom's music to her and I even played her dad's music to her."
Bobbi Kristina was also the daughter of singer Bobby Brown.
Her unconscious body was found face-down in a bathtub at her home in Atlanta in January. She was placed under a medically induced coma and remained unresponsive until she passed away this Sunday, as previously reported by HNGN.
When Frazier asked Shelley if she thought Houston's spirit was with her daughter when she passed, Shelley said "I feel like her mom has been there the whole time."
