Seth Meyers tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Alexi Ashe in front of family and close friends during an intimate wedding ceremony in Martha's Vineyard, Sunday.
Seth Meyers and fiancée Alexi Ashe are married! The Saturday Night Live comedian exchanged vows with his long-time girlfriend and human rights lawyer Alexi Ashe, on the Labor Day Weekend. Close friends and family attended the wedding held in Martha's Vineyard, Sunday.
According to US Weekly, Meyers wore a dashing dark colored suit and the bride was seen in a cap sleeve lace dress. The guest list also included some well-known friends like, Olivia Wilde, Allison Williams, Rose Byrne, Jimmy Fallon, Jack McBrayer, Bobby Cannavale, Ayaan Hirsi, Mike Shoemaker, Niall Ferguson, Jake Gyllenhaal and his latest model girlfriend Alyssa Miller alongside other friends from SNL, Jason Sudeikis, Kristen Wiig, Will Forte, Kenan Thompson and writer Colin Jost.
"They are so in love and really excited for their big day," a source close to the couple told People magazine. "They [were] really happy to celebrate their big day with all their close friends and family."
Meyers and Ashe dated each other for a very long time before they got engaged in July. But the couple did not want to delay things, hence tied the knot shortly. Recently, Meyers described how he proposed to his lovely lady and her emotional response on accepting his engagement proposal.
"I tied [the ring] in a bow around our dog's collar," the 38-year-old star said. "I just had to sit there looking at the dog. I was like, 'The dog's going to eat the ring!' "
Meyers will soon be replacing his pal Jimmy Fallon on NBC's Late Night as Fallon takes the spot of jay Leno on The Tonight Show next year.
